'50 Shades of Grey' Movie Curse Rumors: Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora Breakup Claims, Charlie Hunnam Quit

The upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie may be cursed. Rumors are flying that Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora may be breaking up with their boyfriends as a result of the flick. And who could forget the negative backlash that surrounded Charlie Hunnam's casting, which eventually led to him quitting the role of Christian Grey?

Rita Ora may have landed a dream role in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie, but that doesn't mean that things are perfect in the actress/singer's personal life.

British publication The Sun is claiming that Ora has broken up with her boyfriend, Calvin Harris. According to one source who spoke with the tabloid, the two are simply too busy for romance, via The Mirror:

"It's been tough for both of them but it's been even harder for them to spend time together recently. He's been busy DJing and she's working on her new album and shooting Fifty Shades of Grey.Calvin is more private when it comes to fame than Rita, which also played a part. He'd be happy to meet someone who has nothing to do with the industry."

Rita's not the only one whose relationship may be suffering as a result of the film. A December report in Star claims that Dakota Johnson may be having a few problems as well.

According to the report, Dakota and boyfriend Jordan Masterson are struggling to cope with Johnson's new role:

"There's no grey area when it comes to Dakota Johnson's new status in Hollywood. After landing the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, the 24-year-old went from under-the-radar to in-the-spotlight star. But one person who is struggling with Dakota's highly sexualized role is her Scientologist boyfriend of one year."

The film wasn't a great experience for Charlie Hunnam either. Once it was announced that he would be playing the lead role in EL James adapted novel, fans were outraged.

Charlie, weeks before filming was scheduled to begin, Hunnam dropped out of the project. While many felt it was due to the unprecedented level of fan backlash, the movie studio insists that it was over scheduling:

"The filmmakers of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey."
