New 'Avengers 2' Baron Von Strucker Joins James Spader, Scarlett Johansson Talks New Plot Details

Well, it looks like the Avengers are going to have their hands full in the newest movie. Not only has it been announced that a new villain, Baron Von Strucker, will be joining James Spader, but now Scarlett Johansson has come foward about some new plot details. It looks like Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will be a lot darker than the first.

Earlier in the week it was announced that Baron Von Strucker will be joining the cast of Avengers 2: The Age of Ultron.

Strucker, a former Nazi-turned-HYDRA leader, will be played by NBC Dracula actor Thomas Kretschmann. Wow!

NBC also employs the other main villain, James Spader, on the hit series The Blacklist. Is NBC really ran by HYDRA?

That would explain their fall lineup.

Meanwhile, some new plot details about the upcoming movie have been released. Arguably one of the sexiest women alive, Scarlett Johansson recently opened up to Parade about the plot of the sequel:

"I think the script is dark and it's dry, it's got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humour.Obviously the script is very cerebral. It doesn't lose that exciting comic book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it's smart and it feels like the next instalment. It doesn't feel like a rehashing, it feels like these characters are moving forward, plotlines are moving forward. It's deep and I think that's why people really respond to the Marvel universe, because the films are fun and exciting and have all that flashy stuff, but there's a gravity to them. People can expect that gravity this time around."

What do you think about Baron Von Strucker's inclusion in the new movie? Are they running the risk of adding too many villains in the new movie? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below at the bottom of the page.
