Drake is getting back to his roots this weekend as the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Drake is also being accused of throwing some shade at Rihanna and Chris Brown in Beyonce’s new track, “Mine.”
Drake may be one of the hottest rappers out today, but some forget that he got his start on the hit teen series Degrassi. This weekend Drake will get to use acting skills once again on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
The rapper/actor is pulling double duty as both host and musical guest on the return episode. Drake previously appeared as a musical guest back in 2011, however, this will be his first time hosting.
Meanwhile, Drake is coming under fire for reportedly blasting his ex, Rihanna, and Chris Brown in his new song with Beyonce. On the new track, “Mine,” Drake raps:
“I know you think its funny that your ex is not a running back but that n***a came running back
And you tell me that you’re done with that
And I believe its true as long as you know who you belong to”
Drake and Chris Brown reportedly ended their feud late last year. However, from the sound of things, he might still be holding on to a little bit of shade.
Drake also briefly struck back up his romance with with RiRI last year, before moving on with Zoe Kravitz.
Drake seemingly never gave Rihanna a fair shot the second time around, as evident by when he spoke to Ellen Degeneres last year:
“Uh, yeah, great girl. We had our moment and I always always support and have love for her…I’m not into do-overs, in an way…”
