We have good news and bad news for fans of The Vampire Diaries.The bad news is, Nina Dobrev might die. However, it's the Nina Dobrev that no one really likes. Ellna is safe, but her doppelganger, Katherine, might not make it past the 100th episode. Meanwhile, we may be getting closer to a TVD and Originals crossover.
The Vampire Diaries is one of the hottest shows on TV today. The show is about to reach the landmark 100th episode next Thursday.
The show's producers have big things for the event episode, titled "500 Years of Solitude."
TVD producer Caroline Dries sat down with TV Line last year and discussed some of what is in store for the 100th episode:
“Romantic make-out in the hospital bed. Maybe. The 100th episode is Katherine on her death bed. She doesn’t have a huge fanbase at the Salvatore house where she is, so Stefan is the person who’s there for her. But when you’re dying, romance isn’t exactly on the front burner.”
President of the CW Mark Pedowitz recently spoke to E! Onine about the Nina Dobrev death rumors:
"I am not allowed to discuss plot points for Julie Plec, but come and watch," Pedowitz said. "You might be surprised. The 100th episode is quite interesting."
The Originals star Charles Michael Davis also spoke with E! Online about a potential crossover with its parent show, The Vampire Diaries:
"Anything is a possibility, especially since we both shoot in Atlanta. I'd like to see that. I think it would be pretty cool, just to mix things up,"
However, he isn’t too worried about ruffling some feathers, adding:
"I think Marcel is such a lovable guy that he would get along with everybody."
