FNC Megyn Kelly Talks Impeachment, Elisabeth Hasselbeck Increases 'Fox & Friends' Ratings [UPDATE]

In the world of cable news, sometimes the anchors themselves generate headlines. This is especially true of FNC's Megyn Kelly, who recently discussed the impeachment of President Obama. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, herself, is generating a good bit of buzz by raising the ratings of the network's hit, Fox and Friends.

Megyn Kelly, one of the most beloved anchors of Fox News, recently sat down with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, where she brought up the notion of impeaching the president:

"We've had lawyers, constitutional lawyers come on this show and say, OK, so when that happens, when you have a president who, in your view or the view of some, is out of control in terms of overreach, you as the lawmaker really have two meaningful options. And the main one that has been used historically is, try to impeach him!"

McConnell refrained from discussing impeachment and shifted the topic back to his Republican-issued talking points.

Kelly, however, isn't afraid to go off-script, and others should take note.

Her style of broadcasting has proven a successful one for the network. The gorgeous anchor's ratings blow away both MSNBC and CNN, often times, combined.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who recently joined the cast of Fox & Friends, is also a major draw for the network. According to Media Bistro,Elisabeth has been good news for the morning show, which wasn't really hurting before she joined:

"Fox & Friends, which saw an anchor change this year, marks 13 years as the top-rated cable news morning show, and has grown in both total viewers and the demo since Elisabeth Hasselbeck debuted in September."

What do you think about the latest news surrounding Kelly? Is all of the hype just a product of the so-called liberal media? What did she do wrong by asking Mitch about impeachment?
