Tom Cruise New Movie After Scientology Lawsuit, Leah Remini and Kirstie Alley Feud [UPDATE]

Tom Cruise just took to Twitter to promote a new movie he's filming. This latest picture comes after he dropped his $50 million lawsuit against a magazine that claims he chose Scientology over his daughter. Scientology has been getting a lot of attention lately, especially following the feud of Leah Remini and Kirstie Alley.

Emily Blunt will be costarring with Tom in the upcoming sci-fi (of course) flick, Edge of Tomorrow.

We know this because the world-renowned actor published a photo of the two of them working together, along with the text:

"NEW Tom Cruise & Emily Blunt @EdgeOfTomorrow pic in the jump ship! #LiveDieRepeat Search EOT: https://bit.ly/EOTsearch "

Tom must be appreciating all of the press his tweet generated, especially considering the amount of negative press he has gotten lately.

A lot of this stems from a lawsuit he launched against a magazine that claims he abandoned his daughter. In the end, however, the lawsuit was settled out of court, as CNN reports:

"The lawsuit against Bauer Publishing, In Touch and Life & Style magazines 'has been settled,' said Lindsay Ferraro, public relations director for both magazines, in an e-mail. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed and remain confidential. Neither Bauer Publishing nor the magazines 'intended to communicate that Tom Cruise had cut off all ties and abandoned his daughter, Suri, and regret if anyone drew that inference from anything they published.'"

That lawsuit may be settled, but the feud of Leah Remini and Kirstie Alley is far from over.

During her recent appearance on Howard Stern, Alley revealed why she hates Remini. According to Kirstie, Leah is a bigot:

"First of all, I just want everyone to know I have hundreds of friends who have come into Scientology and left Scientology. You're not shunned, you're not chased. All that stuff's bulls-t. When you're generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group...when you decide to blanket statement that Scientology is evil, you are my enemy. I have blocked her on Twitter. Because she is a bigot. If someone was out there (attacking your religion) would they be your friend? They wouldn't be mine."
