It is a good time to own a DVR, because tonight is an amazing night for TV. While NBC’s The Blacklist and Fox’s Sleepy Hollow have things handled on the drama side, FX is taking care of the comedy. The hit comedy Archer returns for it’s fifth season. And that is not all, producers of Archer and Eastbound and Down have teamed up for a brand new animated comedy, Chozen. The new show, starring Saturday Night Live’s Bobby Moynihan, features a gay white rapper, who channels Eastbound’s Kenny Powers.
Archer is one of the most buzzed about animated comedies on TV today. The hit series is brought to you by the same people who brought us Adult Swim classics, Sealab 20 20 and Frisky Dingo. The show centers around a not-so-top group of secret agents, known as ISIS and lead by Sterling Archer.
The gang at ISIS have faced of against pirates, terrorist, cyborgs, the Sealab and don’t forget space pirates. Now the hit show is returning for it’s fifth season. What dangers will the gang face this season is still unclear, however, rumor has it that ***SPOILER ALERT*** one of the ISIS crew will die tonight ***End SPOILER.
After Archer, a brand new show will debut--Chozen, from the people who brought you HBO’s Eastbound and Down.
The newest animated loud mouth will be a gay white rapper voiced by Bobby Moynihan of Saturday Night Live fame. Good thing for fans who jones for some more abnoxious, fat white guy satire after Eastbound and Down ended.
Check out the season 5 premiere of Archer, followed by the debut of Chozen, tonight on FX starting at 10 p.m.
