The 25-year-old star of director Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills ended her engagement to Big Time Rush singer Carlos Pena Jr in Mexico. The couple was married January 4, at the beachside resort of Grand Velas in Riviera Nayarit, in front of friends, families and bandmates.
So , how will the Machete Kills star present her name on the poster of her next blockbuster?
Will she go for the traditional Pena? Or maybe the more modern hyphenated amalgamation Vega-Pena? Being that it’s Hollywood, maybe she’ll just pretend it never happened and keep her name the same plain old Vega, just like before. None of the above.
The pair decided on something completely new and different. In the spirit that truly defines newlyweds, both are changing their last names altogether. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Mr. and Mrs. PenaVegas.
The clever pair said the "I do’s" in front of their friends, families, bandmates and fans in on a bucolic beach in Riviera Mexico.
The zaney couple told Us Weekly that the couldn’t wait to get started on their new Hollywood lives together:
