Jennette McCurdy, the star of Nickelodeon's iCarly and part time acapella recording artist, has a brand new job. Jennette, a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal, is moonlighting as a life guru in a new weekly column for Seventeen. Jennette’s new job has many wondering if there's any truth to the Sam and Cat cancellation rumors.
Jennette McCurdy is no stranger to the written word. The starlet practically lives on Twitter. However, there is a brand new venue out there for her to express herself with more than 140 characters. McCurdy has a brand new weekly life advice column for Seventeen, titled “Lets Be Friends.”
In the introduction to her new weekly column, McCurdy modestly writes:
“Hey ladies!
Welcome to my blog for Seventeen. I'm really excited about it...
Probably more excited than you are. Oh well, story of my life.
For those of you who don't know me, you should. I'm kidding.”
After listing off her career credits, eating habits, and giving us an inside view at some of her favorite things, McCurdy then ends her letter by offering her advice to young ladies everywhere, writing:
“I'm excited for this blog to find a voice. What do you guys want to see?
Ask me anything, boy drama, friendship tales, behind the scenes buzz? Let me know in the comments below, or tweet me @jennettemccurdy and use #17jennette
Thanks for reading. Let's get this party started, shall we?”
This new job could come in handy if it turns out the McCurdy’s hit show Sam and Cat has really been canceled. However, it's highly unlikely that show will be canceled. The show has yet to be picked up for a second season, but the first season order was doubled to 40 episodes, meaning that just one season of the show will be almost as long as all four season’s of Victorious.
What do you think of Jennette’s new job? Will you read her column? Does anyone read anymore? Let us know in the comments below and we will be sure to read them.
