'TVD’s' Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Kiss and Joke About Breakup After Derek Hough and Nathaniel Buzolic Dating Rumors

Nina Dobrev is one of the hottest young actresses around. The superstar and her The Vampire Diaries co-star, Ian Somerhalder, recently won People Choice’s Favorite On Screen Chemistry Award. During their acceptance speech, the former real life couple joked about their failed relationship. They even shared a kiss. Meanwhile, Dobrev has been rumored to be dating both Derek Hough and Nathaniel Buzolic.

It is official, the people have spoken. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's characters, Elena and Damon, are one of the greatest couples in TV history. Not only did the pair bring home E! Onlines' Best TV Couple of All Time Award, but they just claimed the People’s Choice Award for Favorite On Screen Chemistry.

During their acceptance speech, the former real life couple shared the following comically awkward exchange:

Dobrev:

“We started dating on the show."

Somerhalder:

“Then we started dating in real life”

Dobrev:

"Then we broke up in real life."

Somerhalder:

"And yet our characters are still dating on the show."

Dobrev:

"It's a good thing it's not awkward."

The pair stared at each other uncomfortably for a moment before Somerhalder leaned in and gave his ex a kiss on the cheek.

However, when it comes to her real love life, Dobrev has been spending an awful lot of time with her ex-boyfriend, Dancing with the Stars pro, Derek Hough.

Dobrev recently spent the holiday season with Hough and his family. Not only did the actress go out on a ski vacation with Hough and his sister, Julianne Hough, but she also starred in a Hough family Christmas video.

Meanwhile, she was also recently seen partying with her TVD co-star and former Disney host, Nathaniel Buzolic. The pair were spotted out together while on a trip to Sydney, Australia.
