Former Disney child star Britney Spears hasn’t been allowed to see her friend Lindsay Lohan for years. The diva’s dad hates the toxic influence and has banned her from Spears' new Las Vegas residency, rumor has it.
Britney Spears has been under a lot of stress and pressure ever since she announced the two year Vegas show.
She has been criticized for everything from her lip-sync assisted voice, to her photoshopped enhanced image and her crazy expensive ticket prices.
No one doubts that she sure could use a friend during this pivotal time in her life, but that friend won’t be old time gal pal Lindsay Lohan, if Britney’s dad Jamie has anything to do with it.
Jamie has acted as the star’s conservator for years. He blames Lohan to this day for all of Spear’s 2007 L.A. night club shenanigans.
Lohan has been kept away from Britney for years, says a source close to the family in In Touch:
“Lindsay has always been a big fan of Britney and would love to attend a show. But there is no way she would ever get on the VIP list, because Brit’s dad has a strict ‘No Lindsay’ rule. Jamie always felt that Lindsay was a bad influence on Britney. He want to keep Britney on the straight and narrow, and that mean not being around Lindsay ever again.”
That seems a little harsh, but if Britney knew what was best she wouldn’t need her dad to make decisions for her in the first place. Plus, it’s not like Lindsay has got her act together so far.
So on second thought...good job Jamie!
