Red hair Julia Roberts is at it again, bragging to publications about just how well she gets along with everyone. Usually, it’s just the standard my-marriage-is-perfect advice. Or some nonsense about how she and her co-star, man or woman, are practically lifelong best friends. Most recently, she goes as far as saying that she became so incredibly close with the actresses that played his sisters in August: Osage County that they began to feel like family. Be careful ladies, her real-life half sister Nancy might tell you, that it’s not all that it’s made up to be.
The 46-year-old mother of three told OK! that it took no time at all to become close with her co-stars in her upcoming movie. How close? She told the magazine they were so close they felt related:
“It was exciting! i didn’t know my [onscreen] sisters [played by Juliette Lewis and julianne Nicholson] but by the time we began filming we felt entangled. It made sense that they put us together as a family.”
If only she was as warm and accepting of her own family, as she is with the make believe families. Maybe, her sister Nancy wouldn't have to have been emotionally traumatized her entire childhood by the ever-disapproving Julia. Nancy opened up about the emotional abuse to The New York Daily News:
“It was mostly because I was overweight. My weight has fluctuated my entire life. So i got a lot of criticism from Julia, which was very discouraging for me.”
If you thought that things had changed or Julia had matured, you should think again.
Last Summer, Julia refused to be a bridesmaid in Nancy’s wedding, because she didn’t approve of her sister’s choice for a husband.
A inside source opened up about the recent family drama in The National Inquirer (via Dialy Mail):
“Julia doesn't think much of Nancy's husband-to-be. 'She's convinced he's sponging off Nancy, who doesn't have much money in the first place. They moved out to L.A from Georgia, and John was working at a Panda Express restaurant. But he quit the job after Nancy landed a gig as a production assistant on Glee.”
You hear that Meryl Streep? You had better get away from her before you develope weight issues.
