'Iron Man 4' Rumors After Ben Kingsley Confirmed For 'Thor 2' Short, Not Tom Hiddleston Loki Movie [SPOILERS]

***Thor and Iron Man Spoilers Follow*** Well true believers, if you were a fan of the highly-controversial Mandarin twist in 'Iron Man 3,' then you are in luck. Ben Kingsley has been confirmed to reprise his role as the not-so-Mandarin in the all new short, All Hail the King. The One Shot will be made available on the Blu-Ray DVD release of Thor 2. This, however, is not good news for people hoping that new movie star Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Meanwhile, the short is sparking rumors for an Iron Man 4.

Well it happened, Marvel has finally jumped the shark with its Cinematic Universe. If Iron Man 3’s stolen Batman Begins plot twist wasn’t bad enough, they have decided to focus on one of the MCU’s worst sins. The all new One Shot, All Hail the King has been confirmed to star Ben Kingsley, who will reprise his role as the Ra’s al Ghul ripoff that we all thought was the Mandarin.

In the comics, The Mandarin is one of Iron Man's greatest villains, however, in the movie verse, the character is a drug addicted actor pretending to be a terrorist rockstar. Despite teasing the character for two films, the writers of Iron Man 3 wiped there boots all over the comics. Now they adding a little more insult to injury. The character is also the focus of the new Marvel One Shot, All Hail the King.

Screenwriter Drew Pearce (you can stop booing him, this is the internet. He can’t hear you) recently spoke to Entertaiment Weekly about the short:

"Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he’s the face of your organization. I think they would be right to be quite angry."

If that was not bad enough, Pearce is hoping to expand his “vision” further into the MCU:

“I think short movies in general, whether they’re Marvel ones or not, you kind of want them to feel like they’re opening you up to a bigger world. Yeah, I definitely think there are--the non-spoiler way for me to say it--by the end of the short, there are definitely a lot of exciting other places that are brought up in it that could then go in the Marvel universe. You know, whether that’s an Iron Man movie or another one going into Phase Two or Three."
