The upcoming Batman Vs Superman script is reportedly finished, and fans can not wait to catch a glimpse of all the action. Where me might be able to see The World's Finest suited up anytime soon, a new update on Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman costume has been released into the rumor mill. Speaking of rumors, there has been one spreading that the film will feature a depowered Wonder Woman with a Kryptonian origin.
Since it was announced that Gal Gadot was going to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Man of Steel movie, the internet has been wondering how the Amazonian princess might fit into the world of the Man of Steel.
However, one blogger thinks he knows the answer. Batman on Film’s Bill Ramey caused quite the stir when he posted the follwoing on his online mailbag:
"Personally, I'd say [Wonder Woman's role in Batman vs. Superman will] be about on par with Scarlett Johansson's first appearance as Black Widow in Iron Man 2. I believe it's a cameo-plus type of role that will (hopefully) serve as a springboard to a solo Wonder Woman movie. I'd bet a year's pay--in Monopoly money, of course--that the 'Amazons' of this cinematic DCU will be descendants of those 'ancient Kryptonians' who attempted to set up Kryptonian outposts throughout spaced thousands and thousands of years ago."
However, this was all just one person's opinion--an opinion based on zero insider knowledge and one that he hasn’t even put real money on. Either way, the rumor still spread like wildfire. That is how the internet works after all.
Ramey later tried to put out the fire, Tweeting:
"I guess I should be flattered that outlets picked up on my latest BOF Mailbag. BUT, most, not all, are completely twisting what I wrote."
Not everyone seems to think that they will be depowering Wonder Women. El Mayimbe of Latino Review is reporting that they are armoring the Amazon in the new film, tweeting:
"Gal Gadot's WONDER WOMAN outfit will consist of ARMOR. Not the Lynda Carter itty bitty outfit. I hear it looks dope."
