There had been rumors leading up to the show’s premiere that some of the contestants in Season 18 of the Bachelor were a little off kilter. It turns out, we didn’t know the half of it. Many of the 2014 crop seem clinically crazy. Juan Pablo, it turns out, might not be interested in any of them.
Right out the gate, or in the driveway more accurately, the cream of the crop presented itself. Though a few, of course, did outshine the others.
Like professional “dog lover” Kelly Travis, who when presented with the completely sane choice of bringing her dog along in the limo to meet Pablo, just could not pass it up.
Or Clare Crawley, the 32-year-old hair stylist from Sacramento, who decided for their first meeting she should trick Juan Pablo into thinking she was pregnant by stuffing a pillow up her dress, which actually worked.
But the most spirited driveway performance has to go to Lauren Solomon. The 26-year-old musician chose to opt out of the limo ride to the front door, so she could instead arrive on her piano bike to serenade Juan Pablo with song.
The fun didn’t stop inside the house either, where Lacy Faddoul felt that it was a good place to share that she was raised with two mentally disabled siblings and at the tender age of 25 owns her own nursing home.
Last year's Bachelor Sean Lowe stopped by with a few words of advice for the Venezuelan former soccer player (via Fox News):
“You’re going to develop strong feelings for more than one person at one time,” Sean said. “You’re going to freak out a little bit. The only thing I could do is trust my gut.”
If his gut isn’t telling him to get the hell of out there, than it is a moron.
