Ringo Starr is the latest member of an all new Fab Four. The Beatles drummer and all around rock legend is joining The Powerpuff Girls in their upcoming CGI reboot special. Starr has released a brand new song for the Cartoon Network special. In the new music video titled, "Wish I Was a Powerpuff Girl," Starr flys around in a little dress with the preschool heroes.
Mojo Jo Jo and the Beat-ALs don’t have anything on the all new Powerpuff Girls. When you combine sugar, spice, chemical X and a 73-year-old rock n roll legend, you get the all new Fab Four.
Starr is teaming up with Cartoon Network icons The Powerpuff Girls to save the world (before bedtime mind you), in an all new CGI special.
Cartoon Network has issued an official press release about the special episode titled, “Dance Pantsed:”
“In 'Dance Pantsed,' why is Mojo Jojo kidnapping a mathematician, an opera singer and a badger? To steal Chemical X, of course, and to finally take over Townsville. But when the Powerpuff Girls thwart his plan, he invents an evil video game called ‘Dance Pants R-EVILution’ to control their minds and bodies to fulfill his evil plot! The Professor must visit his dark dancing past to save his girls so they can save all of Townsville!”
Starr has also relaeased his brand new video for the episode titled, “I Wish I Was a Powerpuff Girl.” Check out the video here.
Meanwhile, for fans who can not wait to see even more Powerpuff Girls, Cartoon Network will be running a marathon of the series leading up the the special on January 20. The press release goes on to detail:
“Leading-up to the premiere of ‘Dance Pantsed,’ Cartoon Network is showcasing ten classic episodes of The Powerpuff Girls for a five-hour marathon on Sunday, January 19 beginning at 12 p.m. (ET/PT).”
