It seems LeAnn Rimes is taking a page right of the trashy playbook of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The 31-year-old addresses the trials, tribulations and celebrity feuds that come with marrying Brandi Glanville’s ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, on her new album Spitfire.
LeAnn Rimes has, in the past, denied any allegations that she has done anything to fuel the “petty” war of ugly words, between Glanville.
She explained to Fox News that she was also above using any public scandals to bolster her career, that has been lagging for more than a decade:
“I don't cause drama for the sake of drama, to use it as a career platform. As long as that is going to remain a focus of anyone else's life involved in the situation then I don't know how much it's going to calm down, but we'll see."
Well, she has changed her mind. Rimes’ new album discusses the slings and arrows of stealing someone’s husband from them.
She recently told OK! that the the album’s title track was especially intended to let someone know just what she thinks about them:
“I felt like it was the right title for the record. I was spitting out all those emotions I’d held in...It’s a tongue-in-cheek, kiss my a** song.”
Brandi Glanville isn’t going to be kissing anything. She wasted no time firing back at Rimes and her sad career move of an album.
The tongue lashing that is Glanville’s response was reported in the recent In Touch:
“LeAnn has a great voice, but she needs to work on her songwriting. I’m surprised it’s so bad...She’s not going to win any fans by writing a song about breaking up a family. It’s old news--no one wants to hear you cry over getting everything you wanted...If LeAnn wants her career back, she needs better lyrics. These are the worst songs I’ve ever heard. No one wants to listen to this!”
And the feud continues.
