Rumors continue to fly when it comes to the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie. Major gossip sites are now at odds over whether the three novels will be condensed into one film. Will this be your only chance to see Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele?
Perez Hilton sure has been getting a lot of things wrong lately. His most recent error was his prediction that 50 Shades would be condensing all three of EL James’ books into one flick, as the celebrity blogger wrote:
“The Fifty Shades Of Grey movie is one highly anticipated book adaptation! Unfortunately for fans, the key word here might be "one." According to multiple reports, the movie script has condensed the entire trilogy into just one story, meaning there will be no Fifty Shades Darker or Fifty Shades Freed movies.”
As we’ve learned in recent weeks, just because Perez posted something doesn’t mean it’s true. This appears to be the case once again.
According to gossip site Too Fab, there will be three separate films made. The website claims that Universal, who is producing the film, denied these rumors:
“We reached out to Universal, who confirmed to toofab that the report is indeed false. Phew, that means Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will all get their own full-feature treatment...as long as the first flick isn't a total flop!”
It’s refreshing to see that the movie studio has responded to the latest claims, considering how quiet they’ve been about other rumors.
Of course, their secretive nature is somewhat understandable, especially after the Charlie Hunnam casting announcement debacle.
After it was revealed that he would be playing Christian Grey, fans reacted in such a volatile manner that Hunnam left the film just weeks before filming was scheduled to begin.
What do you think about the latest claims? Are you excited that three films may be coming out?
