The Las Vegas return of diva Britney Spears has not been a return to form, unless you are referring to her 2006 breakdown. The former Disney star has come along way since Toxic ruled the airwaves, and not in a good way. After it was recently revealed that the star lip-syncs at her new Vegas residency, some disappointed fans are complaining about the 3 second backstage meet and greet that cost them $2500.
It has been one thing after the other since Britney Spears began her new Vegas show.
First there was the E! documentary, where she claimed she was too shy for show business (via Huffington Post):
“I have always been kind of shy, since I was a little girl. It's who I am to be modest, so I really can't help it. I turn into this different person...seriously, bipolar disorder...This is all I've known all my life--cameras, being followed, being part of the industry.I'm not really made for this industry."
Then revelations in OK! by her manager that she would probably be lip-syncing any time she is moving or there is music:
“Larry Rudolph confirmed that during songs when Britney is dancing throughout, she’ll be accompanied by a vocal track--‘but there won’t be lip-syncing across the board on anything.’”
Now, she is charging fans $2500 for a meet and greet. And what do you get for that absurd amount of your hard earned money? Perhaps, she introduces you to her mother and braids your hair. A source at Radar says you get nothing of the sort (via Daily Mail):
“Fans were told before the meet-and-greet that they were not to hug or touch Britney without her permission and they weren’t allowed to bring her any gifts. And then once they finally got to meet her it was like smile, take a photo, goodbye. Each person literally got like 3-seconds with her.”
Britney, get your head checked.
