Ryan Gosling is known for being a trendsetter, and now the A-list actor is inspiring the hairstyle choices of men. This latest story comes after a rumored breakup with Eva Mendes and claims that the actor may be dating Rachel McAdams.
A somewhat surprising trend is taking hold in the U.K. According to a new survey, an increased number of men are dying their hair.
Not only are they changing their hair color, but they’re also emulating young celebrities. To be specific, it’s Ryan Gosling’s looks they’re co-opting:
Unfortunately, they’re also trying to look like Chris Brown. A spokesman for Mindel, who recently spoke to Daily Mail, explains why this is a new trend:
“The male hair colourant market can expand into more fashion-forward colours, and utilising apps allowing men to virtually try on hairstyles can encourage experimentation in this area. A number of younger male celebrities, including actor Ryan Gosling and musician Chris Brown, have recently bleached their hair blonde, suggesting there could be room for more fashion-oriented home hair dye products targeting younger men.”
Of course, this isn’t the only reason that Ryan finds himself in the news. The heartthrob celeb is rumored to have broken up with girlfriend Eva Mendes.
One insider who recently spoke with OK! claims that it was Eva who ended things:
“Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn’t a lot to say. He was everything you’re supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing.”
This is the same tabloid, however, that reported Ryan could once again be dating Rachel McAdams. An alleged source close to the celebrities told the publication:
“Rachel is pushing hard to get him back, and he’s becoming more and more receptive to her. They talk and message each other all the time. She was so broken hearted and devastated [following her own breakup]. She thought they would be together forever and was confused as to why it fell apart. She reached out to Ryan to get his advice and since then they’ve been getting closer and closer.”
