Everyone knows that Michael Bay loves to blow things up. However, no one thought he he would blow his big announcement at Monday’s Samsung news conference. It turns out that Bay is no Barack Obama, and issues with his teleprompter lead to him storming off stage. However, Bay has announced that we'll be getting to see new Transformers 4: Age of Extinction footage, which is great news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting an official trailer.
Michael Bay really stepped it up on Monday, when he got flustered and stormed off the stage at a Samsung press event. Bay was supposed to be talking up the new, Curved 105-inch UHD TV, when a teleprompter mishap got him all out of whack.
Bay struggled to maintain focus before ultimately storming off stage in embarrassment.
Shortly after the mishap, Bay posted a new message on his website, writing:
“Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES-I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down--then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing. But I’m doing a special curved screen experience with Samsung and Transformers 4 footage that will be traveling around the world.”
If anything can make fans forget about this super embarrassing event, it will be brand new Transformers: Age of Extinction footage. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a glimpse at the all new Dinobots for months now.
The real question is why couldn’t Bay get flustered and walk away from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie?
