Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb aren’t letting the rumors that they’re breaking up spoil their Mexican vacation this Christmas. The 41-year-old Modern Family star and her fiance are soaking in the sun and fun south of the border, while back home she has been planning for a baby-filled future.
The celebrity couple has been rumored to be splitting up for months, now. Some have even speculated that Nick has moved out of the home they shared.
That just isn’t true, according to what a close friend of Vergara’s told Star recently. Sofia is excitedly planning her wedding to Loeb; she just isn’t in a hurry to marry him:
“Sofia is definitely still wearing her engagement ring and can’t wait to be married--it’s just that she’s so busy it’s hard to pin down a date for the wedding. But they’re not in a rush to tie the knot; Sofia is enjoying the journey and doesn't feel any pressure to make things official between her and Nick.”
The highest paid actress on television realizes that she may not be able to put having a baby off forever. Vergara explained her logic to Star after being spotted outside of a fertility clinic:
“I just wanted to plan ahead... Nicky, he’s never had a baby. Nothing happens naturally anymore. I want to take advantage of science. Why not?”
All that real world drama seems to be the farthest thing on their minds, as the couple returned to the place where Loeb got engaged back in 2012 this Christmas.
The couple is having such a good time they might never leave. Life & Style spoke to Vergara during her vacation in Mexico:
“We are f---ing professionals at doing nothing. We like to sit around the beach and drink wine and talk s--t...Nothing like Mexico. We don’t want to leave St. Regis Punta Mita. Perfect Vacay.”
