Bradley Cooper is one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now. The Hangover star, who just turned 39-years-old, has been doing a lot of looking back on his life and career. Cooper recently came clean about getting clean ten years ago. The American Hustle actor revealed that he struggled with addiction early in his career. However, the future is looking great for Cooper. He will star in one the most highly anticipated films of 2014. Cooper is providing the voice for Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy.
Bradley Cooper has it all, dashing good looks, tons of money, talent, recognition and a super impressive resume, yet he almost lost it all. Very early in his career, Cooper struggled with a severe alcohol addiction. Luckily, the actor was able to turn his life around. Cooper recently spoke to GQ about his addiction:
"If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life."
Now Cooper is completely sober, despite starring in the Hangover film trilogy. It is a very good thing that he decided to get help. Not only has he become one of the Hollywood A-list, but the actor has garnered some serious acclaim for his roles in Silver Linings Playbook and the newly released, American Hustle.
Cooper’s next big role is in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. No, Cooper will not be playing the handsome and charming leader of the team, That role goes to Parks and Rec star Chris Pratt. Cooper will be staying behind the camera, providing the voice for the adorable and deadly Rocket Raccoon.
Cooper recently spoke to MTV about his role and what it was like working with GOTG director James Gunn:
"It's been great. The great thing about [Gunn] is that I tried to set the ground rules early. I said, 'Look, you don't have to sugar-coat anything. Just tell me exactly what you want,' I think he was basically going like, 'Did you think I would do anything else?' "
