Marvel Gets 'Star Wars' Comics Rights and New Avengers 'Minecraft' Skins for Xbox 360

Well, it was only a matter of time before Disney decided to hand over the comic book rights of Star Wars to the hands of its comic book company, Marvel. This move should not surprise anyone, but it will surely upset fans of Dark Horse, the publisher who has held the rights to Star Wars comics for over 20 years. Meanwhile, the Avengers are getting an all new makeover. The Earth's Mightiest Heroes are now available skins for Minecraft for the Xbox 360. Finally, a place the Hulk can smash and not get shipped off to another planet by the Illuminati.

A long time ago...in a comic book box stashed away in your attic, you will find old issues of Star Wars comics with the Marvel logo posted proudly on the cover. However, the Star Wars series of comics found a new home with indie publisher, Dark Horse, over 20 years ago.

Since 1991, Dark Horse has held the comic license to the beloved sci-fi classic.

However, as you all know, over the past few years, Disney, on their never ending quest to take over the world, has acquired the rights to both the Star Wars franchise and Marvel Comics.

So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Disney is handing the rights back over to Marvel. Sadly,0 that means no more Dark Empire and a likely Wolverine Vs Darth Anybody battle coming soon.

Meanwhile, The Avengers have been given an all new look. You can now play as all your favorite (Well 35 of them at least) Marvel heroes in the world of Minecraft. On December 23, the skin pack for Marvel’s Avengers to Minecraft appeared on Xbox 360. The skin pack sells for $2.99.
