Millionaire Simon Cowell isn’t happy about the record low dip in Season 3 of the X Factor's ratings. The successful producer is looking to breath new life into the show. Some people are speculating that Kelly Rowland, of Destiny’s Child, and Paulina Rubio, of nothing else easily pronounceable, may be fired this coming year.
The notoriously surely Cowell is not above letting anyone go with a moments notice, just ask Paula Abdul.
Recovering wreck Demi Lovato recently left the show. Some people are surmising that she left, as not to give Cowell the pleasure of firing her.
Whatever the case, she was upset with her X Factor sendoff, when Mario Lopez made an offhand remark about her drinking. A source tells Us Magazine that she was none too pleased:
"Demi turned to Simon and said, ‘What the f---?’ She felt it was offensive.”
Cowell can’t conceive of a world where he would be contributing to the low ratings, and it’s not like he would fire himself.
Facing that delima, Cowell is, now, turning his attention to the other judges, and thinking of changes. A show insider recently explained the dynamic to Star:
“Simon wants to start over. He thinks the show needs a shot in the arm. He’s an egomaniac and simply won’t accept failure.”
That doesn’t bode well for the remaining judges on Cowell’s show. If things get rough, they could always try to jump ship like Cowell, and apply for a job on American Idol. That place is always hiring.
