Good news today for Jennifer Lawrence, who the tabloids claim is engaged. It was revealed that the Hunger Games 2 actress is an excellent investment when it comes to box office profits, even more so than co-star Liam Hemsworth.
Forbes annual Best Actor for the Buck list was recently released. In case you’re not familiar with the report, Forbes describes the method they used in determining which celebrities made the cut:
“We added each actor's upfront and backend pay on all three movies to come up with a total compensation number. We then added up the operating income of the three movies to come up with a total operating income number and then divided total operating income by total compensation.”
By these metrics, Jennifer Lawrence finds herself in the number 3 position for all of Hollywood. The British-owned Telegraph describes how Lawrence found herself at the top:
“Oscar-winning Lawrence was ranked third best value with a return of $68.60 (£41.79) for her performances in blockbuster The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, which won her the Best Actress Academy Award in 2012. Lawrence was paid $500,000 plus bonuses for The Hunger Games, which took $691 million (£419 million) at the global box office.”
That’s not the only news surrounding Lawrence. Rumor has it that the A-list star may be engaged to her super hot bf, Nicholas Hoult.
OK! reports that Nick and Jen are getting pretty serious, but a source claims that you won’t be seeing your typically lavish Hollywood wedding:
“I don’t think there’s going to be any big announcement. They just want to slip away and get married in quiet. They’d much rather run off somewhere and marry quietly and then have a family get-together, one in Kentucky [Jennifer’s home state] and the other in London [Nicholas’ home turf]. Having a lavish Hollywood wedding is the last thing they want. Jen says planning it all and working out a guest list would drive her crazy. It would be so stressful deciding who to invite, so as not to offend anyone in Hollywood.”
What do you think about her rank on the list? Does Lawrence deserve a raise? Is there any chance she is engaged?
