Spoiler Warning! If you are a fan of the CW series Arrow, then you may have noticed a trend starting. Several members of the superhero group, The Teen Titans, are starting to appear on the show. From The Green Arrow’s sidekick Speedy, AKA Roy Harper, to the series villains, Slade Wilson (Deathstroke)and Sebastian Blood (Brother Blood). Rumor has it that The Vampire Diaries star Steven Mcqueen will soon be joining the cast as none other than original Robin, Dick Grayson, AKA Nightwing.
With the Titans and their villains starting to assemble on the small screen, many are wondering if we'll ever see the team group up on the big screen. From the original lineup to the animated series, the team has had several different roosters. So we decided to look at what combinations might work best in the movie world.
First off, there is the original comic book lineup. The initial incarnation consisted of: Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West, best known as The Flash in the Justice League Animated Series); and the original Aqualad (Garth).
The trio was soon joined by Green Arrow’s sidekick Speedy (Roy Harper) and Wonder Woman protege, Wonder Girl (Donna Troy). However, the original team lacked a lot of diversity, so that probably wouldn’t play well for a modern movie going audience.
Then there is the most famous incarnation, the lineup from the Teen Titans Animated Series and the follow up Teen Titans Go. That line up consisted of the animal shifter Beast Boy (Garfield Logan), the robotic Cyborg (Vic Stone), the dark and mysterious Raven (Rachel Roth), Starfire, (Koriand'r, an alien princess) and was headed up by Robin (Dick Grayson). Now talk about diversity.
They even had a green guy. That is right New 52 fans, GREEN. However, Cyborg is now a part of the Justice League and so that line up probably wouldn't make it to the big screen because of his recent push to the big leagues.
Then there is the Young Justice Animated Series lineup. Once again, we have Robin, Kid Flash and sometimes Speedy, but we also get a brand new Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm/Jackson Hyde), Superboy and the lovely shape-changing Miss Martian (Megan Morse). True, they are not exactly Titans, but this seems like the most film stable lineup. Although, fans might be irate at the lack of Beast Boy.
Perhaps some hybrid lineup would be best. What combination of Titans would you like to see make it too the big screen? Let us know in the comment section below.
