Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Talks DC Comics Movie Casting and WWE Wrestlemania 2014 Rumors

2013 was an amazing year for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. After a successful part-time run in the WWE, the superstar managed to be in nearly every film made, to become the highest paid man in Hollywood. It is starting to look like Johnson is planning to continue his winning streak for 2014. Johnson recently spilled the beans that he has been in talks with Warner Brothers Studios about being cast in a DC Comics film. However, The Rock’s hectic schedule means that he might not make it to Wrestlemania 30.

It was a banner year for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The part-time WWE Superstar-turned-actor managed to overthrow Robert Downey Jr for the title of highest paid actor in 2013. The Rock managed the win with a series of films including: Pain and Gain, Fast and Furious 6, G.I. Joe Retaliation, Empire State and Snitch.

Meanwhile, RDJ’s only release was Iron Man 3. Now Johnson might be taking to battle the Downey in another field.

The Rock recently revealed that he has been in talks with Warner Brothers Studios about starring in a DC Comics film. During a question and answer on Twitter, the superstar was asked if he would ever star in a superhero movie, to which he replied.

“We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery. #RockTalk @ActionTilson”

It is worth noting that Johnson was previously attached to the now defunct,Shazam movie.

However, it is starting to look like we might not see The Rock back in the ring this year. Johnson went on to add that he may be skipping out of Wrestlemania 30:

“Between Vince, Brock & myself our Wrestlemania 30 plan was ROCK vs BROCK. No plans now for 30 but possibly WM 31. #RockTalk @_JordanMayoral”

Who do you think the Rock should play from DC’s rooster?
