Rumors are flying that Selena Gomez may be entering rehab. These latest claims comes after her high-profile breakup with ex Justin Bieber and rumors that she may be dating George Shelley. A representative for Selena, however, was quick to squash claims that she needs treatment.
After Selena announced that she would be canceling the remainder of her tour, the rumor mill went into action. Star, a popular U.S. tabloid, went so far as to claim that the singer/actress needs to enter rehab, quoting a source who revealed:
“Selena started started hanging out and partying with Vanessa and Ashley...And once they wrapped, the party didn’t end. Her friends and family are worried that there might be a serious problem. They want to help her, and if that means getting her into a discreet rehab, that’s what they will do.”
The singer’s representative was quick to deny the gossip rag’s accusations, telling the publication, “Selena has no plans or any reason whatsoever to enter rehab.”
Despite her rep’s statement, the Internet refuses to stop their speculation. Many feel that it isn’t drugs, but Justin Bieber that is the reason for her canceled tour dates.
Though the two haven’t been dating for quite some time now, every action the young starlet does gets tied into Bieb’s latest antics. Of course, this isn’t fair, especially considering the young starlet may be dating someone else.
According to a report in The Sun, Gomez has dumped the Biebs and is currently seeing George Shelley, of Union J fame. One “source” who spoke to the publication claims that the duo spent the night together:
“Everyone else left the room at 2 a.m. so they were able to spend the night together. Nobody was annoyed with George. After all, he's been pursued by one of the biggest pop stars in the world--it's any lad's dream come true.”
