Rumors continue to fly that Prince Harry is engaged to girlfriend Cressida Bonas. If these reports are true, it turns out that the couple could be planning a 2014 wedding following Harry’s most recent charity trip.
According to a source who spoke with OK! Magazine, Harry may finally be ready to settle down. After all, royals dry up when they turn 30, as the insider reveals:
“[Harry] used to have a group of single guy friends to carouse with but they are all in their thirties now and settling down with their girlfriends in a serious way. In the social set that Harry comes from, 30 is the end of the line as far as playing the field is concerned. It’s made Harry reconsider his life. He sure doesn’t want to be the last man standing. He may as well get on with it, too.”
Of course, this isn’t the only reason people think they will soon be wed. After all, the young woman did get to attend the Christmas holiday with the Queen, as Huffington Post revealed:
“The Express notes that it won't be Cressie's first visit to Sandringham (she's come for two other shoots), but it's certainly her first with the queen being present. The reported invite comes after weeks of engagement chatter, with more and more rumors that Harry and Cressie are getting serious enough for a possible engagement in 2014.”
This report comes months after speculation that Cressida and Harry will soon be engaged. In fact, Grazia has reported that Prince Harry has already asked Cressida’s father, Jeffrey, for her hand in marriage:
“It seems that Harry and Cressida have spoken about marriage, he wanted to do the honorable thing and meet her father to let Jeffrey know his intentions before he went to the South Pole. It’s always scary meeting your girlfriend’s father, but Harry knows how close Cressida is to her family.”
