Things have definitely been better for Ian Somerhalder. The Vampire Diaries and Lost star has reportedly lost his girlfriend and TVD co-star Nina Dobrev twice this year. New rumors suggest that Dobrev has gotten back together with her ex-boyfriend, Derek Hough. That isn’t the only thing that Somerhalder has lost. He came in second place behind Loki, Tom Hiddleston, in E! Online’s Best Celebrity of 2013 poll.
The last few weeks haven’t been the best for Ian Somerhalder ( poor rich handsome superstar). The Vampire Diaries star may have lost his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, twice to Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough.
Nina and Hough were reportedly dancing the holiday away together this Christmas. After Somerhalder and Dobrev broke off their three year romance earlier in the year, Dobrev ran straight into the arms of Derek Hough.
However, Hough and Dobrev’s romance didn’t last long and she was rumored to be back together with Ian Somerhalder. Now despite months of reconciliation and engagement rumors, Dobrev is reportedly back with Hough.
Dobrev is best friends with Derek Hough’s sister, Julianne “Orange is the new Blackface” Hough, so she is spending a lot of time with the Hough family this holiday season. The rumor is that she couldn’t help herself after spending so much time around Derek.
Meanwhile, Somerhalder also came in second place to Thor: The Dark World’s Tom Hiddleston, in E! Online’s Best Celebrity of 2013 poll. According to E! Online, Hiddleston claimed 52.9 percent of the votes totalling out to 38,689 with Ian Somerhalder bringing in 34,385 or 47.1 percent.
However, earlier in the year Somerhalder and his Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev, shared E! Online’s Best TV Couple of All Time.
Here is hoping that 2014 fairs a little better for Ian Somerhalder.
