Defunct pop diva Britney Spears sure has had to survive her fair share of lows, since the days when Toxic ruled the charts. The 32-year-old star opened up in a new E! documentary and mused that she was never really cut out for the entertainment industry. No one realized at the time that she was referring to her inability to sing, but it has recently been revealed that the former Disney star lip-syncs in her new Las Vegas residency.
It is no secret that Britney Spears has a somewhat rocky mental history. Whether she is shaving her head, letting her baby drive, or wandering off the stage during an X-Factor audition, the star has caused jaws to drop time and again with her zany antics.
That is why no one batted an eye, while watching her newest documentary, when the one time child star commented that she didn't have the temperament for show business:
"I have always been kind of shy, since I was a little girl. It's who I am to be modest, so I really can't help it. I turn into this different person...seriously, bipolar disorder...This is all I've known all my life--cameras, being followed, being part of the industry.I'm not really made for this industry."
People are a little surprised, however, to learn that the star won't be doing too much singing during her new Vegas show.
Britney’s manager recently confirmed allegations that the worn-out star would be lip-syncing during, at least, part of the show according to OK! Magazine:
“Larry Rudolph confirmed that during songs when Britney is dancing throughout, she’ll be accompanied by a vocal track--‘but there won’t be lip-syncing across the board on anything.’”
That means, when Britney is standing and talking that's her, but if she is moving, who knows.
