Batman Vs Superman is one of the most anticipated upcoming films. The Man of Steel sequel is shaping up to be Justice League-lite. Not only is the titular pair of The Worlds Finest and The Dark Night in the movie, but Wonder Woman will be there to lend the boys a little girl power. With that much firepower on the side of good, the trinity will have to be facing off against one massive opponent...or maybe a few. Lex Luthor has already been confirmed for the film, but could we also be seeing someone else--perhaps Metallo, Amazo or maybe even DOOMSDAY!
Warner Brothers producer and Hitman director Daniel Alter shocked fans earlier this month, when he spilt a little secret about Batman Vs Superman, as he tweeted:
“#wonderwoman is going to be in #BatmanvsSuperman”
However, that wasn't the only spoiler that Alter tweeted about:
“Need to talk to some people tnite about #doomsday in #BatmanvsSuperman”
Since then, the internet has been up in arms about the possibility of seeing the Superman Slayer in the new film. Some fans are worried that the character is too big to be in the movie and should be saved for a Justice League film. However, there are others that can not wait to see the Man of Steel square off against the beast. Speaking of Goliath-like beings, Game of Thrones and Conan The Barbarian (remake) star Jason Momoa has been rumored to play the brute.
Where Momoa would be a prime candidate for the role of Doomsday, rumor has it that he may also be pegged to play Justice League member Martian Manhunter. The copy cat powered robot, Amazo, would also be an excellent choice for the actor.
Joaquin Phoenix has been rumored to be in talks for the film. Where no role has been specified, many assumed that he is being pegged for the role of Lex Luthor. However, it might be worth nothing that the Kryptonite-powered villain Metallo was rumored for the first film. The character also has ties to both Superman and Batman in the comics. Would you like to see Phoenix play Lex Luthor or Metallo? Let us know in the comments below.
