Just a few short years ago, it seemed that Matthew McConaughey’s career and personal life were stalling. The star was busy getting arrested for playing the bongos naked, making a string of remarkable similar romantic comedies and generally spinning his will in life. He didn’t appear to be the kind of guy who loses lots of weight for a serious acting role, like the native Texan did for Dallas Buyers Club. Then McConaughy met his future wife, successful QVC handbang hawker, Camila Alves, and his perspective on everything drastically changed.
The 44-year-old actor wasn’t taking life too seriously before he met his model wife. A close friend of McConaughey recently told Us Weekly that the successful accessories designer had a calming effect of the long-time sex symbol:
“Ha had a carefree attitude about life before he met Camila. Matt’s matured and made changes in his career.”
McConaughey certainly lucked up when he landed Camila. She is apparently as talented a homemaker as she is a seller of handbags. The star opened up about her idyllic brood to Us Weekly back in September:
“Levi and Vida are best friends and they're just great with Livingston--they love to take care of him...[The kids] know that work is a part of everyday life. They have their responsibilities: Levi has to go get the mail and feed the dog--and if they want a certain toy, they have to work for it.”
Matthew McConaughey certainly leads a charmed life thanks to his wife.
