Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande New Episode of ‘Sam and Cat’ Airdate, After Cancellation Rumors

Good news for fans of Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande. Sam and Cat is coming back. Despite rumors that the hit series was going to get cancelled, the show's new episode finally has an airdate.

Don’t believe the rumors fans, Sam and Cat has not been cancelled. In fact, the show is gearing up for a brand new episode. The next episode, titled "#MagicATM," airs next Sat on January,4. The Sam and Cat Wiki offers the following synopsis for the episode’s plot:

“Sam notices that Cat is spending a lot of money; Cat shows Sam a 'Magic ATM' that gives away free money.”

The highly anticipated one hour iCarly and Victorious reunion special has finally received an offical air date. The episode, titled "#The Great Tuna Jump: Reunion Special" is scheduled to air on January 18, 2014. The episode also features the return of Freddie, Robbie and Jade. The official plot summary as revealed by J14, reads:

“When Sam meets Cat's friend Jade from Hollywood Arts, Sam and Jade become friends, leaving Cat feeling a little left out. Taking some questionable advice from Nona, Cat decides to retaliate by ‘stealing’ a friend of Sam's--and it's Freddie Benson! As Cat tries to get cozy with Freddie, Sam finds out and goes after a friend of Cat's-- Robbie Shapiro! The jealousy comes to a crashing climax at Fisherman's Wharf, where Dice has hired Sam to jump her motorcycle over a tank full of vicious man-biting tuna.”

This is great news for fans who mistook some of Ariana Grande’s comments in a recent interview about her after-show plans, as meaning that the show was going to be cancelled. The series has yet to be picked up for a second season but the first season order of 20 episodes was doubled, bringing the total count to 40. By comparison, the total number of episodes of Victorious only came to 58 after four seasons.
