Lea Michele New Single 'Battlefield' from 2014 Album ‘Louder’ and ‘Glee’ Series Finale Revealed

Lea Michele might be finally moving on after the tragic loss of her real life and on-screen boyfriend, Cory Monteith. No, we don’t mean that she has a new boyfriend, but she is gearing up for a brand new album. Lea has just released a new track from her upcoming record, Louder, coming out on March 4, 2014. The new single, "Battlefield," has some heart wrenching lyrics about moving on after love has faded. Speaking of lost love, Glee creator Ryan Murphy is opening up about what the series finale of the hit show would have been, had Cory Monteith not passed away.

Lea Michele has just released a brand new single from her upcoming album Louder. The new track, Battlefield, has some emotion lyrics about love lost including:

“We both know it’s coming, does illusion count for something--we hide
The surface tension’s gotta break, one drop is all it takes to flood out this lie
You and I we have to let each other go
We keep holding on but we both know
What seemed like a good idea has turned into a battlefield
Peace will come when one of us puts down the gun
Be strong for both of us, no please don’t run, don’t run
Eye to eye we face our fears unarmed on the battlefield”

Meanwhile, Glee creator Ryan Murphy is moving on in his own way. Murphy recently spoke with E! News about what the ending of the show would have been, had Cory Monteith not lost his life:

"The ending of Glee is something I have never shared with anyone, but I always knew it. I've always relied on it as a source of comfort, a North Star. The very last line of dialogue was to be this: Rachel (Michele's character) comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn's glee club. 'What are you doing here?' he would ask. 'I'm home,' she would reply. Fade out. The end."
