A few weeks ago on the show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, eccentric diva and wife of Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey, gave a few super fans a fantastic surprise, when she collaborated with the host in a little late night trickery.
Several groups of her most obsessed fans were brought together for what they believed to be a private listening party for Carey-Cannon’s new single. The fans had no idea what they were actually hearing was Mariah singing the song for them live. These sad people, once confronted with the farce, began to openly weep and convulse in shock.
It would have come as no real surprise, however, if the star had just shown up to hear her own song at a private listening party. The oddball star is reportedly obsessed with herself and specifically her own music. Nick Cannon, host of America’s Got Talent, recently explained to co-worker Howard Stern that she forces the pair to listen to her music even when they make love:
"I (explicative removed) her to her music. Sometimes that's not always my choice. There's only one playlist that we can choose...She puts the music on (laughs)...but, I love it so it doesn't matter. I wouldn't choose any type of other music. Sometimes we'll mix some Al Green in there...some Teddy Pendergrass. But, I like when her song comes up."
The next question for St. Nick, while you’re listening to her music during your lovemaking, does Mariah ever surprise you with a live performance?
