English star of big-screen musical Into the Woods, 30-year-old Emily Blunt is practically bursting to burst. Blunt and husband John Krasinski, best known for his role as Jim Halpert on the highly-acclaimed NBC sitcom The Office, are stoked for the arrival of their new baby in late January. The couple had a star-studded wedding in Italy, July 2010.
The couple, who are aware of the cliche Hollywood pitfalls, seem more than prepared for the idea of celebrity parenthood. Last year, Emily expounded on her thoughts about celebrity marriage to the L.A. Times:
"I feel like everyone poo-poos actor relationships because they say they always end in divorce and tears. But that's only because it's in the news and it's broadcast to the world. John and I can talk about everything, and it's nice, because we have a very deep understanding of what the other person does."
John Krasinski, 34, is no newcomer to having to work with children under foot. While promoting his 2012 film, Promised Land, the actor/writer told, The Today Show's Matt Lauer about working alongside Matt Damon in domestic chaos:
"We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done.”
The duo sounds ready to take the next step, which is good seeing that the child will be here in a few weeks. A friend of the Bluntski remarked to Us Weekly:
“Emily’s so ready to have the baby! It’s been difficult, with her traveling and them having to be apart...John’s trying to make the pregnancy as easy as possible for Emily. He’s going to make a great father.”
While it is still a little uncertain whether John will make a good father, it is certain he could play one on television.
