'RHOA’ Sick Cynthia Bailey Admits Husband Almost Leaves Over Tumors

The last two years have been tough on former model and Real Housewives Of Atlanta star, Cynthia Bailey. The roller coaster ride that almost drove her husband, Peter Thomas, away, started when the 46-year-old was first diagnosed with fibroid, a non-cancerous tumors that form in the uterus.

Fibroid sufferers experience all kinds of debilitating symptoms. While Cynthia fought through the depression, insomnia, exhaustion, 20-pound weight gain, the desire to eat things like chalk or dirt and humiliatingly heavy vaginal bleeding, her tumors continued to grow. “They went from the size of a grape to a grapefruit,” she recently told Life & Style Weekly.

The symptom that had the most debilitating effect on her marriage, however, was her comatose libido. Bloated and swollen, Cynthia just wasn't up to it. Sometimes the couple would go as long as three months without having sex with one another. Peter didn't understand that his sexual plight wasn't due to his own lack of sexual prowess. The insecurity was becoming almost too much to bear, as he told Life & Style Weekly:

“I thought something was wrong with me. Me and my buddies we planning a trip to Venezuela because nobody knows us there...I know we would have been done. There is absolutely no way we could have survived another year if things hadn't changed.”

Thankfully for the couple, things did change. Eventually Cynthia’s symptoms became so severe, that she was approved for a fibroid embolization. Now that Cynthia is feeling much better, it looks like the duo just might make it. Thanks to the miracle that is modern medicine, Peter Thomas doesn't have to leave his sick wife.
