Ariana Grande recently underwent the interview from hell. Not only did the misinformed interviewer set the internet on fire when he mistook Grande’s new boyfriend, Nathan Sykes, with her ex, Jai Brooks, leaving many to believe that she and the Wanted singer had broken up. During the interview, Grande also had a hiccup of her own when she forgot the name of her very own Christmas EP.
Ariana Grande got herself in quite the mess when she recently spoke with radio host Brian Fink. Fink was a little underprepared for his interview with the pop-star. The host didn’t have his facts straight when he brought up Grande’s birthday gift to her ex-boyfriend Jai Brooks. Grande responded to the statement, saying:
“You’re a little behind. We’re really good friends.”
The interview later went viral and, out of context, many fans assumed that Grande was talking about breaking up with Nathan Sykes, considering no names were used and only the word "boyfriend." Nathan Sykes, however, quickly denied the breakup rumor, when he tweeted:
“Don’t believe anything until you hear it from me or one of the boys. Everyyyoneee calmmmmm doooowwwwnnnnn ☺ lol”
However, Fink was not the only one who was a little uninformed. Grande didn’t even remember the name of her new Christmas EP, Christmas Kisses. This is not too surprising considering that the singer/actress didn’t want to make a Christmas recorded in the first place, as she told Guilty Pleasures:
“I love Christmas but I like Halloween more, I’m doing a Halloween EP next year! I’ve said it first! I called Scooter [Grande’s manager] the other day and I said ‘Why are we doing a Christmas EP?’ and he was like ‘Because it’s Christmas and the happiest time of year. You need to do Christmas music--you have the perfect voice for it.’ And I was like ‘We’re doing a Halloween EP next year!’ And he said ‘I am down with it!’ I’ll look dope as a vampire!”
