After her rumored breakup to Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes is talking about her love for another person--her acting inspiration Alyssa Milano. During her revealing interview, she refrained from commenting about rumors that her ex is dating Rachel McAdams.
During her interview with Violet Grey, Mendes was asked about the first actress she really admired. The bombshell starlet told the website about her respect for Alyssa Millano, particularly in her Who’s the Boss days:
“Alyssa Milano from Who’s the Boss. I just thought she was living my ideal life on that show. It was a rags-to-riches story and I felt like that maybe it could happen to me. I just loved her little attitude and her name, I loved her actual name and her character’s name, Samantha Micelli. She also had this workout video called Teen Steam. I know it word for word. When I was 15 I even went to the Glendale Gallery mall and waited in line for hours to get my picture taken with her. I still have that picture. More recently I admire Julianne Moore as an actor and a woman. She’s fearless in her role choices and really embraces being out of her comfort zone. Though at the same time she’s grounded and elegant in her private life.”
Of course, this isn’t the only reason that Eva finds herself in the news. A recent edition of OK! claims that she and Ryan are no longer an item, quoting a source as revealing:
“Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn’t a lot to say. He was everything you’re supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing.”
The insider went on to reveal that Ryan wanted more from their relationship. Allegedly, it was Eva who was scared to commit:
“Maybe that’s the commitment-phobe in her. Ryan wanted more, and then realized that just wasn’t going to happen...The more he wanted to get more serious, the more she pulled back. So, to him, it just wasn’t worth investing his heart into the relationship, and he stopped caring.”
