Amanda Bynes Mental Health Update: New Hair Color After Dog Given Away Over Schizophrenia? [RUMORS]

There has been yet another update in the mental health of Amanda Bynes. After having her dog given away over her schizophrenic actions, the actress decided to try out a new hair color--blonde. These latest developments come after Amanda was released from involuntary psychiatric care.

People recently photographed the new and improved Amanda Bynes. The starlet looked in good spirits, sporting a new, blonde wig, as the tabloid reports:

“Amanda Bynes is looking happier and healthier this holiday season sincecompleting more than four months of inpatient treatment. The actress, 27, shopped in Los Angeles on Sunday, wearing a floral sweatshirt with skinny jeans and sneakers, and topping off the ensemble with pretty golden curls.”

Much to the relief of her fans and family, Bynes was released from psychiatric care earlier in the month. The Bynes’ family attorney was the first to announce the news in a statement to the press:

"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery. She's feeling better every day. Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."

These latest reports follow claims that Amanda’s dog was given away while she was in treatment. You may remember her pooch, Sherbert, who was accidently drenched in gasoline, from her driveway fire debacle. Turns out the doggy is in a loving home, as TMZ reported:

“Sources close to the Bynes family tell us, Sherbert was taken away from Amanda after she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold in the summer. While she was in rehab, we're told Amanda's parents cared for Sherbert...but have since given him away to a family friend because Sherbert didn't get along with the Bynes family's other dogs.”
