Nine-year-old singer Amira Willighagen, whose audition for Holland's Got Talent went viral on YouTube, is scheduled to sing on the show's semi-final round on December 21. Amira is reportedly suffering from a bad cold, but has been receiving medical treatment, Dutch newspaper Omroep Gelderland reported on Thursday.
Amira sang Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro" for her audition on October 26, astonishing the judges with her lovely, mature-sounding voice. The video of her performance has had more than 12 million views on YouTube, making it the sixth most watched video this year.
Provided she is well enough to sing, Amira's choice of music for the semi-final round is still a secret. About 30 of Amira's relatives and friends are planning to attend the semi-finals, including her teacher and classmates.
The final round of Holland's Got Talent is scheduled for a week later, on December 28.
