Rumors continue to fly that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling will break up in 2013. A somewhat confusing article, from a major gossip site, claims that the two have canceled wedding plans but will likely get back together in 2014.
In an almost contradictory article, Radar Online claimed that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have called it quits. According to an insider who spoke with the site, things were just moving too fast for Eva and Ryan:
“There was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed. They’ve decided to take a break to reevaluate their romance...They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part.”
Of course, it was the same source who claimed that the couple would likely rekindle their relationship in the coming year, adding:
“Don’t be surprised if these two resurface together for New Year’s.”
This has left fans not knowing what to believe, especially considering rumors of their split has been surfacing for months now. One gossip site, Celeb Dirty Laundry, even claimed that Ryan’s new film is the reason for the breakup:
“The source alleges that Gosling’s ‘flop movie’, Only God Forgives, is one of the reasons why he is ‘laying low.’”
The source they quote, however, offers a differing opinion than most. Many claim that it was Eva behind the demise of the relationship, with one source telling OK! Magazine:
“Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn’t a lot to say. He was everything you’re supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing.”
A separate source went on to claim that Ryan has resumed talking to Rachel McAdams. According to the insider:
“Rachel is pushing hard to get him back, and he’s becoming more and more receptive to her. They talk and message each other all the time.”
