Target Won’t Sell New Beyonce Album After Pregnant and Jay Z Divorce Rumors [UPDATE]

Bad news for the Bey. Retailer Target recently announced that they would not be selling Beyonce’s new album. This latest setback comes after months of rumors that claim Beyonce is pregnant and could be seeking a divorce from Jay Z.

Well, it happened again. Beyonce found yet another way to revolutionize the music industry. This time, she did it by releasing a brand new album without ANY marketing.

Not even retailers (like Target) were aware of the surprise release for the album, which was made available on iTunes before it could be purchased at brick and mortar locations. This has left some companies fuming.

In fact, Target has refused to even sell the new record. When pressed about the issue, they told Billboard:

“We focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections. While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyoncé in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats.”.

For the past few months, tabloids have claimed that there was trouble in paradise for Jay Z and Beyonce. According to a source who spoke with Star, Jay has been spending way too much time clubbing:

“Beyonce hates that Jay goes clubbing so often. She understands it’s important to be seen, but he’s a husband and father. She thinks he uses touring as an excuse to go out practically every night.”

The same source claimed that Beyonce was irate over Z’s recent tour with Justin Timberlake. According to the insider, Z didn’t even discuss the tour with Bey:

“Beyonce flipped. Not only did he plan the tour without consulting her at all, but he didn’t even try to coordinate dates with her tour. She told him he was selfish.”
