Rumors that Prince Harry of Wales and girlfriend Cressida Bonas are getting engaged continue to fly. The latest claims come after it was revealed that Cressida got an invitation to vacation with the Queen over the Christmas holiday.
Every year, Queen Elizabeth II retreats to Sandringham to celebrate Christmas. This year, however, it is reported that she will be joined by Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Cressida Bonas. According to Huffington Post, this is a quite a treat:
“The Express notes that it won't be Cressie's first visit to Sandringham (she's come for two other shoots), but it's certainly her first with the queen being present. The reported invite comes after weeks of engagement chatter, with more and more rumors that Harry and Cressie are getting serious enough for a possible engagement in 2014.”
This report comes months after speculation that Cressida and Harry will soon be engaged. In fact, Grazia has reported that Prince Harry has already asked Cressida’s father, Jeffrey, for her hand in marriage:
“It seems that Harry and Cressida have spoken about marriage, he wanted to do the honorable thing and meet her father to let Jeffrey know his intentions before he went to the South Pole. It’s always scary meeting your girlfriend’s father, but Harry knows how close Cressida is to her family.”
A recent article in Heat, however, claims that Harry is planning on popping the question in a foreign country. According to the source, the prince was inspired by his recent charity trek:
"Harry's been training in Iceland for his walk to the South Pole in November and has fallen in love with the country. He wants to propose somewhere close to his heart and he wants to take Cressida to the famous Ice Hotel and then pop the question under the Northern Lights. He knows she'll love this.”
