Batman and Superman is scheduled to begin filming in a few short months, however, there is one tiny problem. The script apparently needs to be rewritten and The Dark Night and Man of Steel writer, David Goyer, is too busy to work on it. Luckily, Ben Affleck's pal and Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio is here to save the day. Terrio will be lending his Oscar-winning talents to the new film. Meanwhile, the Justice League movie is coming along nicely--Justice League: War, the animated movie, that is. It has just been announced that the new film will actually premiere in NY for its big release date.
When David Goyer isn’t busy helping to ruin the Dark Knight Trilogy or turning The Man of Steel into a killer, he is heading up several other DC and Warner Brothers projects. Love him or hate him, David Goyer is a busy man. So when it came time to rewrite Batman Vs Superman, Goyer already had his hands full. Have no fear DC fans, a much more accomplished writer is stepping up to save the day. Oscar-winning Argo writer Chris Terriois reworking the script. This could be good news for fanboys and girls who have had mixed or negative feelings about Goyer’s work in the past. Although, to be fair, Goyer wasn’t in charge of the dog mess that was The Dark Knight Rises, (Yes, that is right internet. Your precious TKNR was horrible...HORRIBLE!) but he still had a hand in it.
In other DC news, the new DCAU film Justice League: War seems to be shaping up nicely. JLW is based off of the New 52’s first six issues of Justice Leauge. It will focus on the team coming together for the very first time to take down Darkseid. It was recently announced that the film will debut at the premiere held at The Paley Center for Media in NYC. The new movie's release date is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21.
