Netflix Gets ‘Breaking Bad’ Spin-Off ‘Better Call Saul,’ President Obama on ‘House of Cards?’

Well Netflix has done it again. The online streaming service is changing the way think of TV. Not only is the company producing entire seasons of Emmy-winning series, but now they have announced that they will stream the entire season of AMC's Better Call Saul the day after the season finale airs. Nailing down the Breaking Bad spin-off is sure to revolutionize the TV industry. Meanwhile, Netflix has also offered President Barack Obama a guest spot on the hit original series House of Cards.

Breaking Bad addicts will now be able to get a quick fix of the prequel series, Better Call Saul. Netflix has acquired streaming rights to the sure-to- be hit series, the day after the season finale airs. While this move will definitely have an impact on post-airdate viewings, such as DVD sales and iTunes season passes, the real question is what toll it will take on the overall TV ratings. Breaking Bad was known as event TV--a show that had viewers glued to their sets week after week to see what would happen next. However, if fans know that they don’t have to wait months to catch the whole show, then they might be more likely to wait and catch the whole thing all at once.

In other Netflix news, President Obama recently had a meeting with top tech execs, including Netflix CEO Reed Hastings. Hastings offered the President a cameo appearance on the hit series House of Cards, to which Obama replied:

"I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient. It's true... Kevin Spacey, I said, man, this guy's getting a lot of stuff done."

After the story broke, House of Cards star Kevin Spacey responded to Obama’s remarks via Twitter, writing:

“President @BarackObama, to help achieve ruthless efficiency, a copy of Frank's new book 'How to Kick Ass & Influence Congress' is on its way.”

Do you want to see Obama do a quick guest spot on HOC? Better yet, what do you think about Netflix swooping in and getting Better Call Saul immediately after the season finale? Let us know in the comments section below?
