Warning Spoilers Follow
Marvel’s Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier, alongside the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, is one of the company's last chances to set the stage for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. The first Cap film tied directly into the Avengers and it is entirely possible that the new movie could as well.
It was recently announced that the script for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron was finished and in the hands of the actors. Shortly after the script was finished, it was announced that Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier would be going into reshoots. Could the reason behind the reshoots be to better segway into the Avengers 2? This wouldn’t be too uncommon. The coda for Thor 2: The Dark World was shot just weeks before the release in order to tie into the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy.
Reshoots for the movie began on December 16 and 17 and will reconvene for two weeks of filming in January.
Meanwhile, the film’s real villains have actually been revealed to be S.H.I.E.L.D. This will mean that the movie could very easily tie into the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series. The show and flick already share one character, Agent Jasper Sitwell.
