‘50 Shades of Grey’ Movie: Christian Jamie Dornan Is Father After Charlie Hunnam Quits ‘Fifty’ [UPDATE]

There has been a major update for one cast member in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie. Jamie Dornan, who will be playing Christian Grey, is a new father. This latest news comes after Charlie Hunnam quit the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.

Congrats are in order for the super sexy Jamie Dornan. The 31-year-old heartthrob recently welcomed into the world his first child, as Hollywood Life reports:

“Jamie Dornan will be taking over one of the most daring roles of his career--Christian Grey--but right now he was given his most daunting role yet: fatherhood! The actor and his wife Amelia Warner welcomed their first baby together ‘at the end of November,’ Jamie’s rep confirmed to E! News on Dec. 17.”

The biggest news surrounding Jamie, however, is that he has been cast as the lead role in the film adaptation of EL James’ popular novel. It was revealed earlier in the week that Jamie may be going full frontal in the flick, as a source told Star:

“[Jamie Dornan] is definitely not afraid to flaunt everything he’s got. Christian Grey spends a lot of time naked, so it’s no surprise that Jamie will strip down during his time in the Red Room of Pain.”

Jamie got the role only after Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the film. After weeks of fan outrage at the casting decision, Charlie decided to bail. The studio was the first to announce his exit, tweeting:

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”

Many find it difficult to believe that scheduling was the reason behind his departure. It seemed that even EL James took a swipe at the actor, when she mentioned how likeable people found Jamie:

"It was disappointing, but it is what it is. I wish him well. And now we have Jamie [Dornan], and that’s great. It’s been interesting with Jamie, [the fan reaction] has been so positive."
